利鞘を稼ぐという意味の単語ですが、文脈をよくよく見ると、bottom=「底」が見直される、と言っている後に今日の安値で買った人が主語になっているので、なんだか嫌な予感がしてきますね。つまりgainを失う意味合いかなと思いました。

月曜日の安値で購入した人は早い段階で利確する（ここで使われている単語がscalp）ので、株価は大きく上がることはないという文脈です。
